Architecture

Valerie Froscher is the principal architect for this multi-faceted firm. We combine custom residential and commercial design with high end construction. Our company has been in business since 1985, working as a design-build team on some projects, collaborating with contractors and architects on others.

Client satisfaction is a major focus in our architectural process. Providing creative design solutions, listening carefully to client desires, understanding “green building”, construction costs and budget concerns, and efficiently navigating the entitlement process to secure permits; those are our priorities.

We believe in the recyclable nature of existing buildings, bringing new life and function into old structures through thoughtful planning and detail. We also always get excited about a new construction project, where the palette is open for new ideas.

Our firm is known for working in traditional styles where craftsmanship is paramount. Projects include Early California, Mediterranean, Beach Cottage, Craftsman, English Country, Farmhouse, and Asian tropical. We have also worked in more contemporary genres, with detailing and exposed structure being intrinsic to the finished character of the building.

Valerie, licensed since 1995, is a member of the AIA, and trained originally in architecture with a former apprentice to Frank Lloyd Wright. She spent many years as an active reviewer for the County of Santa Barbara Architectural Review Board, evaluating an array of projects from sub-divisions and community plan documents, to single family homes, County Parks, and public landscape features.
